My Story: Overcoming Challenges and Pursuing Dreams

From a young age…

I've been fascinated with the arts. My mother, though financially limited, ensured that my younger brother and I explored various interests, from painting, dancing, and singing to martial arts, sewing, cooking, and personal growth groups. I've embraced the mentality that "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger," and my life experiences have shaped me into the person I am today: kind, honest, outspoken, bold, and hardworking. Despite facing numerous challenges, including my mother's physical abuse, living with various family members, ending up in foster care, and even experiencing homelessness for a year in NYC, I've never given up on my dreams.

Instead, I focused on working hard, staying determined, and overcoming obstacles to pursue my dreams of becoming an actor. At 17, I worked three jobs, including picking and harvesting tobacco on a farm, to save money to move to NYC and chase my acting ambitions. But the struggles didn't end there—I encountered numerous challenges and even wound up homeless for a year in NYC.

Anyone in their right mind might have given up, but not me. I refused to let go of my dreams. Witnessing many of my better-off classmates give up one by one only fueled my determination to make it. Despite being homeless and struggling to afford food, I persisted in going to the gym and auditioning until things started to improve. My hardships have become my badges of honor, and this space is not for those who make excuses as to why they aren't succeeding in life.

A Place for the Driven and Passionate

This is a place for the hungry. A place for drive. A place for those who need a little kick in the ass and a reminder to never give in and never give up. This is a place for people who are willing to do whatever it takes to become better, to have difficult conversations, and to stay open-minded in the pursuit of a better world. People who want to thrive.
